project number 1

I am happiest with a project in my life. It gives me something to push through the day for. The last two nights have been spent turning a very ugly but useful dresser into my new tv stand/sideboard. I am in love with the result! Best part it a got to turn something old into something new...my favorite thing. The paint, finish and hardware cost under $30.

I told Patrick for his graduation present, we could get rid of our ginormous tv with the ability to crush either of our children and replace it with a flat screen. I was in a really pleasant mood when I offered the gift and hadn't realized the cost of a new flat screen tv. Well, tomorrow we go buy it, with the gift cards saved up on the credit card, saved gift money which hardly dents the price but at least it will look cool in its new house. And in the drawers craft, preschool, and magazine items will be stored.

And check out the awesome fabric that will be pillows, a recovering an an ottoman and chair cover. I ordered special fabric for the first time in my life, then had to hunt down clearance home fabric to even out the price. I'm so in love with the colors and prints.

Next up. Painting the walls.

very cool project, green...not my thing. Reminds me of soup....very bad soup. But you're trendy and will make it work awesomely I'm sure.

Future congrats on the new TV (lcd, dlp, plasma?), please do your own research on what you get...the salesmen honestly don't know what they are talking about...trust me.

Love the new dresser. Great color.
I really like the middle fabric of the three. You are so talented! Can't wait to see it.

We have a flat screen in our bedroom, love it. Now we did a good size one oin the upstairs family room. Projection 60 inch is what I'm going for sometime in the future.

Total agreeance - if I don't have a project I'm useless. Love it love it! Fabric is totally worth the splurge, especially if you're not buying the chair under it! I can't wait to see more:)
