deal of the week

Patrick is talking my ear off about moving back to NY. Oh, how I would love to live there again! Friends! Food! But the cost of living is already giving me panic attacks. I've been reclining on the arm of semi-luxury here in Richmond. I am proud to say I pay $699 for rent. I love that Stew Leonard's here (well it's actually Tom Leonard's) is HALF the price of Stew Leonard's in NY. Going on dates with a paid babysitter has been pure bliss. Nothing is for sure at all, but just in case, I am scaling back on the lifestyle to ensure the piggy bank is well padded. Which bring me to my deal of the week. Check out these useful blogs and websites about living frugally and still living.

Bargain Quest- Great tips for Priceline. random rebates and grocery shopping tips. Some of the content is geared to Richmond.

WantNot- So many bargain sites are crammed with ads and hard to look at. I like the fun feel of this site that posts about fun free stuff and tips for 'having it all for less" as their tag reads.

Stop Buying Crap- Okay, I really love the name of this site! My minimalist and bargain loving pieces have collided on this humorous and frugalist site. Start by reading this.

Maybe we will be living the NY life again in a couple months, maybe not. Either way, I'm excited to see just how much I can save and not spend! Make a money goal for yourself or you family and share it with me!

So should I start fasting and praying right now? Or do you really want to move somewhere else? Because you know you have a HUGE NY cheering section here, right?

Oh I know. I'll let you know when I need you to start scouting real estate. We're still in the unknown though!
