37 cents

i try to have my gifting and shopping done by mid November so I can enjoy holiday traditions. this year my theme is "avoid the post office" so everything i'm gifting will cost no more than 37 cents to mail (or the items is shipped for me) ! here are some ideas i'm thinking of:

1. magazine subscriptions. i especially like that magazines i subscribe to have special gift offers like BOGO or reduced prices.

2. gift cards. i love the spinning gift card kiosk in stores. i can pick up the gift and milk! some of my favorite gift cards to give are iTunes and Target (McDonalds for kids...you can get these at the drive thru!!). eBay, local grocery stores and Barnes & Noble would be so great too. movie bucks also fall under this category but i find it's difficult to match up the movie chain near me to that of faraway family.

3. online purchases. i'm in love with the photo books you can create then have bound in just about any style. i already know my creating time will be limited this season so i'm getting familiar with the options mac provides. i'm sure there are a billion wonderful online gifts but i'm also trying to not spend my holiday budget on shipping costs.

4. cd's. creating cd's is a fun, easy and inexpensive way to bring a smile to friends..that's calorie free too! i'm digging up some lesser known holiday music for gifting this year. or i may just burn JT's new album for everyone (housework never felt so sexy) !!

this is sounding like a tip box in a magazine now...so i'll end with those ideas. please post any you have that fit into the 37 cents rule!

I like to get those crisp, green $100 bills, myself.

as far as online photo albums check out www.mypublisher.com I've used that site to make my dad a father's day gift. I loved it and reccommend it to everybody.

You have a lot of great ideas, if I think of any I'll let you know.

The Body Shop and Bath & Body Works are always great gifts or gift cards.
