Imagination

Everyday, Afton says something that makes me laugh out loud. A few days ago when her tub water was draining she said "Mommy the water is going down." I asked her where it was going and she replied, "To New York City where the trains live" very matter of factly. Then she went on rambling about how we used to live there in a yellow house with train stations...her imagination is so great!

Afton loves to pretend play about things she sees in movies. We never eat corn, but when I had Abel someone brought us corn with a meal. I turned my back and when I looked back at the table, Afton has thrown corn all over. I asked her what she was doing, she said "I'm feeding the hens and the mice like Cinderella." and continued chucking the corn. Now at least once a day, she does this, but she has to use pretend food now.

Afton is a super girly girl and is already very interested in putting on makeup. She also loves Mulan and will use her hair as a brush, walk around to different red items in the house and paint her lips just like Mulan, all the while humming the Bring Honor To Us All song. This is her using her cup as makeup...



Afton also loves to draw on her hands, feet, legs when I'm not looking. When drawing with a new neat pen this week, she had her hand propping up her head and asked me "Mommy do you know what I colored?" Then she started laughing hysterically and showed me her hand. Later in the day she was looking at that hand and said "It's fifty five o'clock" ohhh...she drew a watch. Very clever rule breaker!
