Bongos and Swarmers

This week two new reasons were added to my MUST MOVE NOW list. I'm not sure which is worse. The neighbor we share a side wall with recently bought his very own set of bongo drums which he plays nightly to his recorded Arabic music...oh and he sings along. The great engineering of our walls allows the "music" to drift right through the water heater closet to our living room at precisely the moment bedtime begins.

If you ever see the above pictured insects in your home call pest control without delay. No, they are not flying ants but the swarmer termites sent by the queen T to look for a new home as the current colony has grown too large. Shiver now with disgust. Turns out the pile of "dirt" in our bathroom is the workings of an infestation of termites.

Just when we had decided to tough it out on our Spanish Harlem apartment, the drums and bugs have us itching all over again for fresh stomping grounds. Better write our address in pencil still...

UPDATE!!!!!

We got treated for the bugs on Monday and now my dryer works a million times better! Now about those bongos...

My skin is crawling. I guess I won't complain about the wood-boring beetles that were living in my table anymore.
