keeping updated
A long time ago, when Patrick would head out into the world alone, I would make cards for him to open each day with love notes, pictures from Afton or little treats. That just ain't happening these days so this is what I've been doing to keep him posted. Pictures of our every day life, nothing posed or fancy just what me and the kids have been doing. I love that I can delete the photos after the email is sent (I have a huge case of photo-deletion induced guilt) and that the Dad sees the kids in their habitat.

we had that same table- the purple 'open/close' lid came off of ours too. Drove me nuts- they even sent me a new one and it still happened.
I used to leave mike messages at work singing the one, two, three, four FIVE SIX SEVEN EIGHT NINE! TEEEEEEN!!! song just to make him laugh.
Looks like you and the kids are surviving just fine without Patrick. Abel turning is back on book reading is priceless
