Last week's "kid planner" was a huge success with Afton. Here is what's going on this week:
Monday (art)- Popcorn Snow Picture (gluing popcorn to look like snow)
Tuesday (math/numbers)- Home Store Math . (unload a bunch of grocery items onto your kitchen table, give child a grocery bag and have them choose a number already written on a paper, child them chooses that number of items. i have play money that we use to pay the cashier with. at the cash register, present a few math problems for your child to solve using the grocery items. this comes from the Parents Play and Learn book.
Wednesday (kitchen/science)- Soft Pretzels (again...we made bread last week) and Drown the Penny
Thursday (reading/letters)- Starfall.com and practice writing letters with our workbook
Friday (new activity)- papier mache
