12 Days of Service and Tradition: Day 3

Whew...the Young Women's Christmas Event is over and I'm back!!!

Service
There are several people in our lives who care for Afton and Abel: gym care center gals, preschool teachers and nursery leaders. I let Afton peruse the Family Fun magazine and choose an item to make for these great people. She choose Cocoa Cones. Easy, super kid friendly and easy to alter (which is always a need for me). Finding the cone shaped bags turned out to be nearly impossible, so we used regular cellophane bags. It was so much fun to shop for and put this fun gift together with Afton.

Tradition
Afton is very excited to make reindeer candy canes today for her friends for Christmas gifts. I love that this gift is very inexpensive (less than 20 cents each!!), realistic for a preschool age child to create and adorable. This is Afton's first year giving a gift to her friends and I'm looking forward to the fun commentary she will add to the exchange and the opportunity she has to share something she loves with a few of her pals.
