I love living in the modern world. Some things I particularly love are:
1. Flat irons. Who knew straight hair could get even straighter.
2. Washer/Dryer. I've lived without these and love that they are back in my life. Free and without hookups.
3. Computer and Internet. How would I get directions, stay in touch, have a budget and see a movie without it?
4. Mattresses. I love my bed. Love, love, love it.
5. Digital Cameras. I'd never see family and they mine without one.
6. iPod. If you don't have one, what are you waiting for? Grocery shopping is way more fun with it (sans children of course).
7. Costco. enough said.
What's your favorite modern thing?

good list! hrm. probably my digital camera. and my car, i love my car.
car's ARE great!!!
I'm gonna have to think more about this...but off the top of my head--we couldn't live without our television. Even minus cable, plus bunny-ears, it saves my day when I turn it on for Lilly. I guess I should add DVD player, too.
Now, if we're talking about me and my favorite modern miracles, I'm definitely going to say my Cuisinart, my KitchenAid, my Cuisinart blender, most other cool kitchen appliances, including my ice cream maker, and refrigeration. Oh, and my air conditioner. Small as it may be, at least one room in the apartment stays relatively cool. And running water and toilets. And disposable diapers. Maybe I should just write my own post about this.
You did ask...
i love cameras. not my camera because it's not that great. but i love taking pictures of my family. and i love my computer. i couldn't live without my computer and my email and the internet. couldn't live.
and in the computer and picture vein, i love being able to blog. weird that i'm grateful for my blog? it's so easy and fast to keep a family journal so that we'll always remember what we've done together and how we've grown as individuals and as a family.
