1. a new power source
2. a new hard drive
3. and most recently a new screen (the tech also put in a new motherboard then).
So it was a little ironic that, although every piece of gut had broken and been replaced, it was the broken plastic edge of our screen (broke by the #3 tech) that deemed our machine irrepairable. And since the old iMacs are no longer manufactured...we are the proud owners of a new FREE iMac. It's so pretty!
Officially the greatest deal ever.

Sweet. We're feeling apple love too. We just bought a macbook for Ben — and because he's still plugging along on that disseration we got the education discount. It should arrive today. Apple was offering free Nanos with a macbook purchase. Not as cool as a free imac, but we're still excited.
