busy week

Last week I was called to be the YW president. Am I really old enough for that? I've been consumed with thoughts and plans for my new calling. With the first Sunday under my belt, I'm busier than ever and still pretty clueless what to do! It will be fun and exciting, frustrating and enlightening I'm sure.

Having a full week of family time was so great. Just the normal dinner, play, bedtime routine was great because there were 4 hands to get it all done.

We spent our weekend with friends. Our friends who are moving to China in a few weeks. We have babies 19 days apart. Eden and Abel love to stare at each other with big wide eyes and drool together.

Every holiday where stores remain open become family shopping days. I don't know why we do that. There are the tell tale arguments of choosing the right shelf and hearty discussions about speaker stands as well as the too tired and too hungry toddler we try to entertain by having her find anything pink on the rack. We eat gross food, are too tired to unpack the goods and end our day wishing we would have done something more holiday like. Next holiday, we'll be picnicking on the river.
